Vamos a seguir en Asturias, pero en el futuro iremos combinando localizaciones por zonas geográficas, creemos que es lo justo. Esta información sobre Navia (que es el nombre de un río que se encuentra en el occidente asturiano) que aquí da denominación a toda una comarca, es un recurso muy curioso y por eso queremos mencionarlo y hacerle la justicia que se merece.
Hace unos años, se creó una fundación que fue llamada «Fundación Parque Histórico del Navia» -http://www.parquehistorico.org-. El objetivo de esta fundación es la de proporcionar valor turístico-cultural a los interesados y curiosos, sobre los hitos y zonas históricas más importantes de la zona. Desde todo el conjunto de castros de la etapa megalítica y sus primeros pobladores que se conservan en el área de Coaña, como también los de Grandas de Salime, pasando por todo lo relacionado con historias de la mar (Cantábrico) en Puerto de Vega y de los señores de las casas palacio en Tapia de Casariego.
La idea básica es la de poder acceder a un parque sin cierres ni muros, donde cuando llegues a la comarca tengas la opción de elegir alguno o todos de los tres recorridos temáticos. Estos hitos son como apuntábamos: Los Primeros Pobladores, Los Señores de las Casas-Palacio e Historias del Mar, ubicadas en las poblaciones de Grandas de Salime, Tapia de Casariego y Puerto de Vega. En cada una de estas localizaciones hay un museo que actúa como centro de recepción de visitantes y en ellos se muestra y explica aquello que se puede visitar en toda la comarca, que es bellísima por otra parte, ya solo el paisaje de mar y montaña merece la pena, y no digamos la gastronomía ñam-ñam. Pues la mecánica es esa, visitar primero el museo (cada una de las tres áreas tiene uno) para luego salir al aire libre a descubrir y a disfrutar la maravillosa naturaleza de toda la zona del Navia.
Os recomendaríamos que comencéis por Puerto de Vega, el lugar más oriental del «parque». Es la «Puerta» de las historias de la mar (Cantábrico), que en su día fue puerto ballenero. Es muy interesante y además camino del puerto hay unos restaurantes fantásticos. Todo esto por supuesto «children friendly», ya sabéis; es bueno para los enanos. Otro día podéis acercaros a Grandas de Salime una vez visitado el castro de Coaña, que no deja de tener interés. Aviso a navegantes, la carretera hasta Grandas de Salime está llena de curvas, no es apta para estómagos sensibles o nanos con predisposición al mareo. Creemos que merece la pena la visita, su museo está muy bien y tiene vestigios importantes sobre el paso de los romanos por esa zona. ¿Qué que hacían los romanos por allí? Muy fácil, los romanos buscaban oro como fieras y llegaban hasta sitios increíbles si se olían que lo iban a encontrar. Eso, eso, los romanos olían el oro. Para terminar, llegad hasta Tapia de Casariego, uno de los puestos más bonitos de Asturias. Nosotros le tenemos mucho cariño por razones diversas. Una de ellas es que construimos el museo de la Puerta Histórica de Tapia de Casariego, denominada «Los señores de las Casa Palacio». No fue nada fácil pero creo que lo hicimos muy bien. A los niños les gustará seguro, tiene hasta «fantasmas» que cuentan historias. Es también un museo domotizado por lo que el propio museo os contará su historia sin necesidad de andar leyendo rotulitos ni nada de eso. Os recomendamos que pidáis hora de reserva porque está teniendo éxito y en verano se llena.
Y ya puestos, muy cerca de allí, un poco más hacia el este por la costa, encontraréis la ría del Eo que divide Asturias de Galicia, una de las vistas marinas más espectaculares de toda España y posiblemente de Europa. Lo del pulpo de Ribadeo y el arroz de Rinlo lo dejaremos para otro día.

We will continue talking about Asturias, but in the future we will be combining info by geographical locations, we believe it is more fair to all of you. Navia (which is a river located in western Asturias) gives name to an entire region, is really something and we want to mention it and do it justice Navia deserves.

In each of these locations you will find a museum that acts as visitor reception center and shows what you can visit in the whole region, which is beautiful on the other, and only the sea and mountain landscape deserves worth, not to mention the food yum-yum. The way to do it is, go first to the museum (each of the three areas have one) and then take off to explore and enjoy nature in the entire area of Navia river.
I recommend that you may begin by Puerto de Vega, the «Gateway» of the stories in the Cantabric sea, at the time whaling port. It is also very interesting and there are at the Port fantastic restaurants. All this of course is «children friendly», you know, is good for the kids. Another day you can go to once Grandas Coaña visited the fort, which is not without interest. Notice to sailors, the road to Grandas is full of curves, not suitable for sensitive stomachs or little people predisposed to carsickness. We believe that it is worth the visit, the museum is very well done and has significant traces on the passage of the Romans for that area. What the hell did the Romans there? Very easy, Romans were crazy for gold and came up to amazing sites if they were going to find, smelling it. That, yes right, the Romans smelt gold. Finally, outisde to Tapia de Casariego, one of the most beautiful places of Asturias. We have much love for it by different reasons. One is that we build the Museum of Historical Puerta de Casariego Tapia, called «The Lords of the House Palace». It was not easy but I think we did it very well. Kids will like it for sure, they will find «ghosts» that tell amazing stories. It is also a domotic museum, at the museum that will tell your story without needing to read small pieces of text or anything like that. We recommend you ask when booking because just to be filled all the time.
For that matter, very close by, a little further east along the coast, you will find the Eo estuary that divides Galicia to Asturias, one of the most spectacular sea views in Spain and possibly in Europe too. The stories about the boiled octopus in Ribadeo restaurants and the ones about rice with lobster in Rinlo’ll, we will leave for another day.
